The UnderBuilt percentage is the resulting factor of what is built vs. what can be built. Multiply this factor with the maximum allowable square feet and you’ll know how many more square feet you can add to a property. The opposite can be said for how “built” the property is. For instance, if you have a 27% UnderBuilt® property, it’s 73% built; 73% multiplied with the maximum allowable square feet will result in the existing house size.

# What does the UnderBuilt percentage mean?

It's a numbers game.
